Last month, the Government of Canada announced the start of a public consultation on HIV criminalization. From now until January, you can have your say and tell the government that it’s past time to change the misguided and harmful law on HIV non-disclosure.
Your participation is crucial
The federal government needs to hear from you about why criminalizing HIV is unjust and how changes to these laws are needed to end legal harms on people living with HIV in Canada. Join us on November 8th from 1-2:30 p.m. ET as the Canadian Coalition to Reform HIV Criminalization hosts an online information session for organizations and individuals interested in participating in this consultation. Learn more about the consultation, why such law reform is desperately needed, and what changes are being recommended.
Note that the final 30 minutes of the session are reserved for people living with HIV to ask questions about how to share their experiences as part of the consultations.
Register now for the English-language session.

The CCRHC has prepared a document with more context and information to support your participation in the consultations and to answer any questions you may have. You can download it here in advance of the meeting.
